A BASIC report is intended for a dentist knowledgeable in the primary region of interest such as the implant site or orthodontic findings but requests the radiologist to review OUTSIDE these regions for incidental pathology. In other words, a dental implantologist may not want the radiologist to comment on the implant site and an orthodontist is familiar with orthodontic radiographic findings, however they would like the radiologist to review peripheral areas for pathology.

An ANALYTICAL report is a request for the radiologist to review and consult on the primary region of interest as well as peripheral areas. For example, an analytical implant report request would include an analysis of the implant site, measurements and nerve tracing if indicated. The analytical implant report includes ONE implant site and additional fees apply for additional sites or additional analyses (refer to report request for pricing information).
